The morning mist lifts from my mind,
And opening my eyes I find,
My pillow wet with salty tears.
In my dream I saw humankind,
With their thoughts and spirits confined,
Each person shedding scarlet tears.
For their freedom everyone pined,
Wanting to leave their fears behind,
Wanting to stop their useless tears.
Their spirits they could not unbind,
Their thoughts to false beliefs entwined,
Their eyes were blinded by their tears.
To its fate mankind was resigned,
To follow leaders that were blind,
Leaders who could not shed tears.
