A Sonnet about hope and Love and how it comes to all ages, young and old. Hang in there. |
LATE AUTUMN LOVE As autumn leaves all dried and drained of life On branch they cling to skirt what waits below. While all of hope has slowly faded past They reminisce yet know they must let go. Dare learn of love yet hear it comes with pain Soon consequences flower as a test. Allusive joy should want me open arms Like night at end boasts sunrise at it's best. Through clouds of doubt the sun comes streaming out Like manna to the soul it helps things grow. Compassion, joy and warmth came sprouting out As grand as roses blooming under snow. Through change, your spirit learns of hope and love While autumns leaf still dangles up above. By Rusty Cason |
