Mets, White Sox trade talks heat up

The New York Mets have expressed that solidifying their bullpen and adding a big name reliever before Spring Training was on the agenda.

In recent talks with the Chicago White Sox, The Mets liked the thought of David Robertson coming to Queens. The White Sox said they want Mets Outfielder Michael Conforto, whom the Mets are not willing to give away.

Robertson, 31, has posted a 3.47 ERA in 2016, and has recorded 37 saves. He also has struck out 75 batters in 64 innings pitched.
