Children's poem of a little bluebird. (Beginning in the style of poet Robert Burns)
'Tonce was a bluebird, Kylie Mae
Who sung 'er sang 'mong roses.
Come each morn she wiled 'er way,
'Er voice as perty as pos'es

Ilka bluebird in the gard'n
Would gither 'emselves about 'er.
They'd sing alang each sang in din
'Til they could'n sing nae loud'r.

Bluebird, bluebird in my gard'n
Perching on stem growed bent.
Kylie Mae, Kylie Mae 'neath the sun
Sangin' to 'er herts content.

And she sang:

All the little bluebirds
Going peep, peep, peep.
Singing from their nest on high.
Gimmy, gimmy, gimmy
A worm to eat
Along with a piece of pie.

Pretty little bluebirds
Singing in a tree.
Calling to their parents nigh.
Gimmy, gimmy, gimmy
A worm to eat
Along with a piece of pie.

All the little bluebirds
Grew big and strong
Raised on the worms and pie
Gimmy, gimmy, gimmy
A worm to eat
Today we'll learn to fly.

All the bigger bluebirds
Going peep, peep, peep
Soaring in the sky on high.
