about poetry and the artist
When we see the great poets we rejoice in there song, but there song and there voice comes from great misery, and we appreciate them because we see there suffering as our own we identify with there great mourning. And so when we tell the great bards and poets " sing, play us your song so we may be merry" we truly are saying " suffer for us again, tell us your tale so we may woe no more" . the great artists take misery tragedy and suffering and transform it into beautiful poetry so that we may digest it better, understand it better, and gain perspective from those experiences.
