What we feel when we have lost something we didn't realize we loved until it was to late.
This silence speaks to me so loud

Sitting here listening to the world outside pass me by
Wondering where I went wrong with you
I fought like Hell to keep you, but still you left
Hindsight is 20/20, looking back I never had a clue

Now in solitude I no longer fight the tears
I hate knowing I couldn’t save you
This is a pain I have felt through the years
This silence speaks to me so loud

I can’t help but try to drink this away
How we ever came to be
Why was it you had to leave this way
So slow and painful, why couldn't it be me

Knowing you are gone hurts so bad
I'm sorry you suffered for years
Now playing movie like memories
knowing how to deal, hiding in a happy shroud

I was there when you needed me
I loved you unconditionally
I prayed for a miracle
Hoping God would let you stay

Failing to understand why it had to be you
So many times we talked about life
One that we knew we would never have
But you kept hope alive through every ounce of strife

In this silence, You speak to me so loud
Holding me in your arms
Telling me that you’re so proud
To live the life we never could

In this silence, I hear the angels singing
Happy that another child has come home
Never forget me, always stay with me
In my heart, everywhere

This silence speaks so loud.
