Pains of Love

Glaring rays from the sun
streamed through the windows
casting a sparkling gleam
on the knife's silver tip.

Twisting the handle in her hand
she became lost in her thoughts.
Never again would she allow
his ugly mug
to hurt her. She'd had
enough of his lies!

Eager to get the job done,
she pressed down the gas pedal.
Scenes of revenge
rolled through her mind.

Lorena Bobbitt, be damned!
That was too good for him.
He was going to know
the same ache she felt in
her heart, time and time again!

One mile from his home.
She imagined the shock look
that would flash on his face.
Then pain and fear
would replace shock.
And she will look
into his eyes and
twist the knife with
all her might, while she
met his horror with a grin.

And while she fantasized
of ending his life, she
never even seen the avalanche
of rocks, rolling down the hill.

With a mighty force
that only nature can give,
they slammed into her car.

She was found at the
bottom of the mountain.
Her red sports car flattened.
A knife protruding
from her heart.
