THE FELINISH RACE

There is so much more to cats
(...certain) cats,
than purrs and fur, and claws and meows
And the ability to leap way...up...there!

Seeming awake while asleep
and, clandestinely,
Asleep while awake,
Nothing escapes their awareness.
Ever.

Those capabilities are considered
normal and mundane, and ordinary.
(From an ordinary human's perspective.)

Yes, some cats seem more than normal
To a degree. Supernatural? Oh yes!
Some of them, undeniably!

But certain cats...certain cats are supernormal:
Hearing things that make no sound;
Seeing things that are not visible;
And,
Knowing things unknown and unknowable.
(From a mundane human’s viewpoint.)

Do you believe? Can you believe?
