On Tears- A Poem

Tear rolls down the eyes of a mother

When she finds her child

honoured for a rare distinction

And the tear is a tear of joy and delight!


When a man in great hunger

Gets a loaf of bread and a glass

of water to drink his dull eyes

Begin to sparkle and soon

tear fills his hitherto sleepy eyes

this the tear of gratitude !


When a man looses something

Precious and irreplaceable

His mouth gets nearly chocked

And goes dry out of fear and shock

And this the tear of sorrow and agony!

Some people's tear betrays

traits of abhorrence and villainy

And these are people who enjoy

seeing someone in pain and sorrow

But outwardly wear look of sympathy

And their tear "the crocodile's tear"!

A person of character and fortitude

-A true devotee of the Almighty

sheds a rare tear when he sees a

person in desperation , a soul in need;

And this the tear of Grace and compassion!


When a person experiences God

within himself, tear rolls down his eyes

And this the tear of ecstasy and glory,

God's gift of tear!

Prays for his redemption of sins







And still tear he sheds

And this the tear of agony and sorrow!
