A player knows the game, and he does what he must to always win.

So be it
This game
The name
Escapes
The rules
Not a clue
The players
All liars
The judges
Infinitely more
The results
Often rigged
Slighted
To the left
Of what’s right
When what is right
Has come to be correct
Least of all
Masquerade
I’ll play along
At least
For awhile
I’ll take what I can
Steal from whom I wish
I’ll feel no sorrow
Not an ounce of regret
Long since
Have such things
Left me by myself
In this world
Of playing for fools
I’ve become
The least foolish of all
The other players
Easily made to lose
Each of them
Simply unaware
How is that I
And not them
Will in the end
Certainly take it all
Masquerade
A charade of ideas
Laid out bare
Naked and abused
Righteously indignatious
Are those pushing
The players of this life
To find a way
To deal
Make bets
And take chances
They are sending them
Flush with meat
To the wolves
They stand no chance
But not I
I stand a chance
Above all things else
I know how to play
I understand how
And when to use
My advantages
I let them think
They are gonna win
So that they bet more
And then I take it all
Every damn thing
Masquerade
Long live the game
And the winners
Who have figured out
What it takes to win
Above all else…
