how I see the love of my life
Look at yourself through my eyes
What do I see when I see you?

I see a man who loves me
For who I am
When I think I can’t
He says I can

I see a father who tries
His very best to be
The kind of father
That his son needs

I see a man who loves
My children like his own
A special kind of love
That is shown

Someone who hurts when I do
Someone who cries when I do
Someone who grieves when I do

But also

Someone who smiles when I do
Someone who laughs when I do
Someone who celebrates when I do

With all that I see
That he doesn’t see
It’s what I don’t see
That worries me

What I don’t see
Is why he chose me
Why he loves me
And my babies

What did I do
To deserve this man
Who loves me
Unconditionally
