Stanley Fry was on his third coat of red paint and the clowns nose still didn't look right. He knew before starting, the red he wanted, but hadn't yet found it.
He had hunted deer with his father and uncles and learned that a lighter red mixed with bubbles, probably meant a lung shot, and dark red, some kind of arterial shot and he was trying desperately to make the nose as scary as possible but as accurate as possible as well.
He mixed a little more white paint and finally got the death color he was after and finally the nose popped like he wanted it to, to hell with anyone that couldn't appreciate how much thought went into the final result.
