the day the crucified the Lord.

My Jesus
By Lisa Noe*Cat2*

What have they done to him? spoke Mary of Jesus.
A crown of thorns upon his head,
Stripes of blood across his back,
Nails within his hands.
A solemn look upon his face
As he screamed out in pain.
I wonder what they gained?
An innocent man was nailed to a tree.
God allowed it for you and me.
He walked for miles with his cross..
They laughed and mocked him
As they beat him, blood drained
From his head and face, the devil
Followed him every place.
He never lost his faith.
He was deemed the king of the Jews.
The women watched with horror and cried.
When the darkness overcame and a light
Shone bright on the Son of God.
Then they knew what they had done.
So his diciples took him to a tomb,
A rich man gave him room.
The scribes did not believe,
They thought Jesus came to deceive.
They stripped him bare,
On the third day he was seen
Walking in a garden green.
Peter could not bare to see
Jesus hanging there.
Jesus called to his God
“Father forgive them for they
Know not what they do.”
He ascended into heaven to
Return to earth one day.
As he spoke his final
Words, “Father in to your hand
I commit my spirit.”
