It is said
successful
mountain climbing,
up, over and then back down,
is analogous to
living your life.

Interesting.
Do we each receive
a custom-made mountain?
As far as well-marked trails,
thick bristles or
black mambas?

Are the dark patches
more seductive than
another man's mountain? and
what about God?
Where is He in all this?
Where is God?

I believe
it isn't that easy.
It isn't nearly that easy.
I've been here 76 years
and I know.
