Short poem speaking of love
Oh no darling don't take a chance on thee,
There is mistletoe above us in an apple tree
Do not trust such a thing!
It will cause a broken wing!
Do not climb, do not jump,
Do not get on that stump!
Oh my!
Do not take that leap,
Up into that apple tree!
But I saw her reach,
And she grabbed that mistletoe for me
On the way down she grabbed two apples,
Mine had a worm,
So we halved hers
The mistletoe was special,
As she was to me,
We took the mistletoe home that night
We kissed eachother to sleep,
And to not dream of fright
When I awoke I heard no sounds,
My darling dear was no where to be found
I saw a note upon the bed,
On the note it simply read...
"Mistletoes on apple trees, that must be set up....It's too good to be...Goodbye my lover, I must go think about me."
That mistletoe forever set her free from me.
