What do bubbles, teacup and mouse have in common? Read on to find out.

Bath Time

Helen was taking a bubble bath. She loved scooping up the bubbles in her hands. Then blowing the bubbles away between her fingers. Helen laughed after doing it.

“I’m a big girl now,” said Helen. Her mother, Vivian, sat on the floor next to the bathtub Helen was in. “I don’t need you in here when I take a bath.”

“Yes, you do. You are only five-years-old,” said Vivian.

“You let Robert and Tammy take a bath or shower by themselves,” said Helen. “Why can’t I do it too?”

“Robert is eight and Tammy is eleven,” said Vivian. “We have this discussion every time you take a bath.”

Helen started to say something. But stopped herself. She just wanted to get that bath over with so she could have her Tea Party.

“Is my Tea Party ready? You said you would clean a teacup for each one of my stuffed animals,” said Helen.

“Yes, it is,” said Vivian. “I also cleaned one for Robert and Tammy too. Didn’t Robert and Tammy say they would be here for your Tea Party today?”

“Robert and Tammy did say they would come to my Tea Part today,” said Helen. But I don’t think they meant it.

Suddenly, Helen screamed. “What happened?” Vivian looked out the door into the hall. “Why did you scream?”

“I saw a mouse,” said Helen. “But it wasn’t Robert’s pet mouse Kevin.”

“Was it white?” Helen nodded. “That’s the class mouse from your brother’s school. It’s his week to take care of it.”

Vivian looked out the door again. Then she continued. “It must have gotten out of its cage. Let’s get you out of there. Robert and Tammy will be home from school soon. And I have a mouse to find."

The End?
