Food for thought, will not cause indigestion. Anybody can contribute to my discussion. |
Why do tales always start with "Once upon a time"? Does it make it easier for the author to get to the point? Does it lessen the work for the lazier writers who use it to replace a strong introduction? Does it help authors or does it hinder their work? Does it interfere with their connection with the so-called Inspiration which is allegedly the basis of all creativity? If "once upon a time"is the norm, why should we listen to Inspiration - especially when it gives us really strange, controversial ideas in our heads? Aren't we okay as we are? Why do we need change? What would people say when they read a string of text which I wrote, and it does not exactly appeal to most people? Or they don't understand it. Or me. How would I be percieved? Does my writing really and truly reflect my personality? It doesn't. Let's get personal. My brain is programmed in a way that it accepts solely dark pieces of literature. My daily mantra is found in gruesome murder and crime books, which I read with much gusto. My heart is hungry for bloody crime scenes, indomitable criminals and gore. Words like these ought to make me ashamed but they do not. I am writing what I feel. The dark bad side utterly fascinates me. Yet....I am just a peaceful girl who is scared of dogs, speaking in public and low wifi signal. And her unfunny jokes. Should we really attach the author's life with his writings? |
