A poem about the strength of - truth |
“Whatsoever Things Are True!” “Whatsoever things are true” Remain so through the tests of time! They vary not with passing tides, or season's change. Nor do they bend a knee to the “he” who looks With arrogance, through some self-made, broken prism, To see the world as “he” would have it be. Then seeks to beat, or break, Or silence everyone and everything, Which looks upon such efforts And says, “this makes no sense to me.” For lies, though told a thousand times A thousand times, remain but often told - lies! While the truth, though beaten down, Again and again - shall always rise, And answer doubters in the manner That it always has, with a simple: “I am what I am, I do not change, come whatever may. The Fool, who dreams of remaking everything As they would have things be, always Come along, then goes off to some oblivion. They are but noises I have heard many, Many times before, throughout the long years. Always, always the fool and his lies, They fail and fade. And as always, whatsoever things are true, These things - remain!” Youtube link to video: https://youtu.be/vyx7vGyRKjY |
