Teenagers don't know what they want, even when they're sure that they do. This is my take.
The scene in the park where the sun was set
Her eyes and my curiosity met
A simple nod and a smile is all she'd get

Days passed by with nothing but regret
I can't believe I left my interest unsaid

Even more days passed by and nothing yet
It was beginning to feel like a dream that our eyes ever met

One day I walked into the store
Across the aisle was the girl from before
Her eyes lifted up and my curiosity grew
I remembered her, did she remember me too?

The heat of my body rose
Even with the heat, my legs suddenly froze
I was stuck to the floor with sudden fright
My moment of pause gave her time to leave my sight

I gave chase, I thought I'd catch her quick
No matter how hard I looked, she was gone again

Twice now I have passed on the girl of my dreams
Simple weakness and fear are the causes it seems.

The girl is gone and my heart is broke
Broken over a girl with whom I never spoke
Is this what love feels like, because that's what it seems
I am sure that I have lost the girl of my dreams

A few more days passed by and I still missed her
I still can't believe that I didn't get the chance to kiss her
I'm sure she would have felt how I felt
A girl like that just makes my heart melt

I was back in the store, the scene of the crime
No sight of the girl at this point in time
I turned the corner and who did I see?
Not that girl, but the new girl of my dreams
