-God Laughs- by Keaton Foster Fear Flee Run if need Hide you must Appear Low key Out of sight Out of mind God The one above He’s the judge He knows Understands All of our sins His hands Are not clean After repeated Washing There are still The faintest of stains Mortal He once was Immoral He must have been In the slightest I’ll dare contend No doubt Plenty of chagrin If and when The scale of much right And all that is wrong Needs balancing It is those sins He uses as weight But such heaviness Only goes so far Throwing things Out of balance Into a state of skew That is when He’ll be coming Down from the sky Into our lives Taking what’s his Removing our life Or the life of another One so deeply loved All lessons to him Are exactly the same In both payment And severity There is no doubt Without question That salvation helps That it lessens the blow Maybe even realigns What is out of tow You’ll have a home Beyond skin and bones You’ll be redeemed In God’s sweet release You’ll know peace But when you are alive When you are still Such a fallible beast God’s will treat you no less Then those who are not his If need be He will crucify you And anyone you love In order to make a point An ounce of blood Goes a long way Towards the balance So if you please Fear Flee Run screaming God above is coming Back down From heaven above If you wish I’ll say you must Appear Low key Out of sight Out of mind Either matters nil God laughs Scoffs at the idea That you or anyone Is untouchable Incorruptible All can be affected By his will and might All can be made examples of Because sin Left unchecked Will dismantle all of this Will lead to a world Out of balance And without balance There will be nothing To save us from ourselves… God Laughs Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
