I Live in a World

Where night-time is safety and alone is best
‘cause people are crazy and families are pests.
Where rain is a comfort and crying’s a sin
‘cause if you give up the darkness will win.
But rainbows aren’t magic
and hugs can’t fix grief.
So life lived is tragic,
life killed is relief.
