An abstract poem that woke me from a dead sleep, kicking at my skull, screaming write me. |
-Sunrise Upon The Moon- by Keaton Foster Twisted Sinister Looking back Upon earth Down upon Those behind Darkness comes An evading light Burning Through the sky Ripping it wide Sunrise Upon the moon Happening never Relentless Is this endeavor I brought myself here An escape Of all that was there Now in that place And not in this one Is where I wish to be In madness Do I still dream Eternal I now sleep Many prayed for Heaven While I prayed for this The lord of darkness Answered I was sure that he Was not listening But be assured He was There is no life here Just an abundance Of deepening despair An amount That could never be fair I’ll pay for my choices The good book was wrong There are some sins Just a few That cannot Or should it be said Will not be forgiven The darkness is my master My present home Less my skin and bones Is up here upon The dark side of nowhere It is where I’ll always be Not because this is hell But rather this is My own personal escape What I imagined Hell would be Indeed Never has my Imagination failed Sunrise Upon the moon Hidden out of way Never to be seen By the likes of another day The darkness will always be With my choices I’ll exist In this place I’ll reside Not bound by time Not sworn my humankind In this realm of madness I’ll further be in sadness Such a thing is tragic There was a time Long before here and now That I had a real chance A will to decide for myself And I No other Threw that chance away Thus deciding such a fate In my mind this was hell And this man’s mind Knows no bounds Sunrise Upon the moon Never will it be true Instead darkness And doubt Will be all around… Sunrise Upon The Moon Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
