Bio for Punctuation Inc.

Hello friends,
I'm Falguni, better known as Humming Bird here in Writing Dot Com. I don't think I'm so good with my punctuation, so I decided to join this online class. I hope I'll make some new friends through this class.

Youngest of six siblings, I enjoy the care and affection I get. I also have a group of five wonderful nephews and nieces. My brother has three children, and my sister has two.

My little ones always keep me happy. There are two different words in Bangla to address an aunt. Khala refers to a maternal aunt, and Fupu refers to paternal.

If you have read my bio-block, you already know that I'm from a small Asian country called Bangladesh. Bangla or Bengali is my first language. Unlike many other countries across the globe, Bangladesh has six different seasons: Summer, Monsoon or the Rainy Season, Autumn, Fall, Winter and Spring. According to the Bangla calender, each season lasts for two months.

At present, it is summer over here. The scorching rays of the summer sun can be unbearable at times. Summer also comes with some mouthwatering juicy fruits which are very scarce in other seasons. For example: mangoes, litchis, jackfruits etc.

I can see my sisters making mango pickles and mango bar. Raw mangoes do not stay with us for long, so we have to preserve this tempting sour fruit in the two processes mentioned earlier.

I am a student of bachelors of business administration (BBA). This semester I am on leave, so I will consider New Horizons Academy as my university this term. I know if I try, I'll benefit a lot from these lessons.

I have been writing since I was just 12 years old. Writing works as a great source of solace since then. I published my first pieces in a well known daily newspaper called The Bangladesh Observer. Publishing came to an abrupt end when the paper itself stopped being published.

I opened my W.D.C account back in 2005. This site has remained a partner of my passion since then. Everyday I learn something new from here.

Besides writing, I love making beaded jewelery and I enjoy playing my keyboard. Moreover, I like reading books and being caring towards the people I love.

Being loving helps me fight with sudden ailments which might come my way. To be honest, I'm a balance of logic and emotions. I am usually friendly with anyone I meet, but I just have a hand full of friends. This is because I prefer people who show through their words, attitudes and actions that they really care. There are many people in this world who can act friendly, but they will dispose you off like an used tissue paper once their purpose with you is served.

Whenever I am in pain, I don't go in search of hugs for myself. Instead, if I can lend an ear to someone who might need to vent, or if I can wrap my arms around someone who actually wants to be hugged, or maybe, shower someone with loving words, my own pains decrease to a great extent.

Romantic love is not something I look for. I enjoy being a friend, an aunt and most of all, a sister. I don't show my emotional sides to everyone. Only those who want my emotions, know them. If you want me to be nice, I can move mountains away from your path. You want me to hate you? Sorry! You will see me dropping those mountains on you, then. It all depends on how you behave with me.
