Great Is His Love for Us

They gathered together, up in a quiet room,
One lesson to teach them before He died.
Emotions showed they still thought first of self
But Jesus' love would serve them as their guide.

The bread that Jesus broke, his body for us.
He gave His all that we all might be free.
The gift of grace, and the hope of tomorrow,
His body for us through eternity.

His cup that's filled with wine, it was his blood
It was poured out for you and for me.
The blood he gave a gift for all who follow
Our sin forgiven, our hope He will be.

Finding His gifted grace at the Christ's table.
Needing His hand to heal all of our lives.
The bread and wine is our hope of tomorrow,
The promised Heaven for that we do strive.
