This poem is about how a tornado takes away a woman's lover.
Son Nguyen - The Gray

Fade into the raging storm,
You were sucked out in our dear home.
The Queen of the Wind danced away,
Twirling around in Her gown of gray.

The destined day has arrived, I'm troubled.
Forging my prayers into weapons, I'm humbled.
Will the light shines through tomorrow?
Our lives we are ready to give, She borrowed.

Sleep your fear through the night,
And when She comes, you shall fight.
Arms in arms, we endured.
Our precious lives were so pure.

She descended Herself with Her dark hair.
Menacingly tall, She detested the fair.
Spinning pitiful beings into Herself
Then crushed them with such force.

Go on and twirl, go on and twirl!
Her dizzy dance made us hurl.
No grace and no charm, Sheâs a deceit.
Lured you away from me as a feast.

Into the void, you disappeared.
Now sitting here, Iâm drenched in fear.
Nothing left for me to cry over
But your golden ring, I may whimper.

O years gone by,
The memoir of you departed with Her.
In the rocking chair of the eternal time,
Only my lifeless body in the grime.
