Mermaid

Ancestral history had always interested me in the past, since I have always been interested in history, it only made since that I would want to know where my ancestors came from and some of their personality traits. Once my mother told me that one of my great ancestors was a witch that had been burned at the stake (I do not know how true this story was but it is interesting all the same). Considering that my mother's family has had such a pull to water I sometime believe that somewhere in her family there must have been a mermaid that had decided to make a hard decision to become human for love. I can almost see the story of the love and despair.
