New Nursery Rhyme using first line of a classic (12 lines)
Take the first line of a nursery rhyme and make a new rhyme. "School Daze Nursery Rhyme ExtravaganzaOpen in new Window. February 2015

*CAT*   *CHICKEN*   *DOG1*   *DUCK*

Mary had a lot of Pets

Mary had a little lamb, its fleece as white as snow.
She also had a billy goat who came when she called "Joe."
Mary's cow was called Patrice. She named her ducky Fred.
Her maroon feathered rooster clucked about. She always called him Red.
The turkey trotted all around. Was known just as Hank.
The pot bellied pig who snorted when laughing, is the one she called Frank.
A dog was hers, the name of Jack. Fanny was her cat.
Can you remember and repeat everything just like that?
How many walked on two? How many had just paws?
Which ones were big? Which were small? Which of them had claws?
Mary needs your help, you see. It's not just her lamb of snow.
It's a barnyard full and much to do. So please tell her so.

This is to be both fun and educational to count, learn names, types of animals, etc.

Enjoy,
