Shifting Story

I love that it is mine
that diamond with the shine

I hope that this will never end
this spark of mine to send

My arrow flies straight and swift
to share with the world my gift

This light cannot ever die
it cannot even try

This star so strong and bright
will never go down without a fight

This gem is a thought
not something that can be taught

An idea is what should
only ever be viewed as good

A thought at the start
is best seen as art

A thought at the end?
well that might depend

Something can start so pure
it could be used as a cure

Minds, however, can fade
into a different shade

What begins in the heart
could become a dart

At the end of the story
it might be gory
