Trolly the Search and Rescue Dog

Two police officers got in a truck and headed out to a farm. “She went missing half an hour ago” an officer said. “Well I wouldn’t be surprised if she froze in this whether.” The other officer said. There was not another word spoken on the trip. They soon reached the farm, one of the officers turned the truck off. They both got out of the truck.

They were met by a younger lady holding a coat. One of the officers walked to the back of the truck and pulled a search and rescue dog out. The dog sniffed the coat and burst through the snow. The leash broke and the police officer was left behind, in the snow.

The dog ran towards the house. His name was Trolly. Trolly ran behind the house and soon came running around the house dragging a sled by the rope. Trolly ran into the dark woods leaving the police men behind. Trolly ran through bushes, briars, clumps of trees and came to a halt close to a creek.

Trolly spotted someone crawling onto the sled. It was a little kid with a blanket wrapped around her. After the kid crawled onto the sled Trolly burst out running again. Trolly was running when a bear came running towards them. Trolly kept running trying to keep the little girl safe. The bear slowly got closer. Trolly made it to the house and collapsed. The bear walked up to Trolly and raised his claws ready to strike.

The bear suddenly ran off. The two police man and the child’s mother ran up to Trolly and the girl. One of the police men helped the mother get the girl inside while the other police officer loaded Trolly up, gave him a treat and got in the truck. After the ambulance got there the police officer came out of the house and loaded into the truck. The police officer started the truck and drove onto the highway. The radio beeped and one of the officers pressed a button. A man’s voice said an address and said she was under attack. The police officer turned on his sirens and sped up.
