Lucia reveals her plan to win and live; Eros finally transcends.
Rapture 7

Lucia vs Gany, even the crowd knew the powers at play after Lucia's last attack. To everyone else in the arena, their silence was one of anticipation to see who would win. My awe was for Lucia as I waited to see what marvelous way she would gain victory. From the first time I saw her I thought, 'here is a masterpiece!' I was never proven otherwise after that.

Lucia swiftly set up position, "I'll battle on full-auto."

The strange man scoffed, "You think you can beat me by yourself? You mock me!"

Gany fired off a fire spell, the words of which did not reach my shutting ears but opened my closing eyes with it's light.

Lucia's voice cut through my exhaustion, "Resolve, Suspend, Deflect. My word is absolute!"

Lucia managed to turn the strong spell against the male Gany. Her Spell power was truly amazing. There were three parts to creating spells: speechcraft, visualisation, emotion. Almost every Guardian specialized in Speechcraft or Visualisation-except Lucia. Lucia had the rare ability to turn raw emotional energy into devastating spells. She was unique.

As the inferno struck Gany, Lucia's sillohette flashed before me. She stood there before me, on top of the world, shining brightly on her own. She was truly a bright star, radiating like she was on another level-like she was from another world. For a moment I entertained the thought that she may be a Goddess. They say that before the Cataclysm there were more Gods in the pantheon besides The Four. You always remember the past when you are weakest.

Gany held up his hand for Lucia to stop, "you're taking this alittle too far. I think we should hang up this charade and let the real fight begin before we really exhaust eachother."

Lucia winked, "I agree. I'll give the signal."

I turned to see the look on the Olympians face when Lucia reveiled her plan. More than anything I wanted to see despair in those arrogant eyes.

"I am the muse. With every word that is written; with every voice that cries out; with every stroke of a brush: I am the greatest artist. Watch my Masterpiece unfold."

Lucia pulled back the curtain of her previous concealment spells to reveal every opponent we had "defeated" in the arena. Their deaths had been faked, with Lucia pretending to be a Sacrifice and casting a concealment spell in secret near the end of every battle and the opponent casting an illusion spell that made the crowd believe they were dying right before the spectator's eyes. The concealment and illusion type spells were old spells that Maria had told us of and that the Olympians would never expect from modern Spell Units-and Lucia had used them perfectly for her revenge.

As the veils were lifted, other Spell Units were reveiled: there stood Philia, Grá, Voluptas and others dating back even further in our arena career with Gany at the head of the troops.

The Olympian stood, and activated his Power Bracelet. in his hand formed a bolt of lightning. It was time for punishment in the mind of the Olympian-how right he was.

Gany countered the lighting bolt as soon as it was thrown at Lucia, "A charge that can't be reduced to zero, you have zero targets: complete deflection!"

The unbeatable bolt smashed into the ground a few feet from us and exploded.

Lucia put an end to our most dangerous foe, "Aphrodite, mother of all that love. Strike vengeance into his chest like an arrow of Cupid: a true shot."

An arrow materialized and flew into the chest plate of the Olympian, through the decorative armor and straight through the heart. The Olympian was shouting orders as the arrow pierced him. The orders stopped and he fell from the boxes above and into the peasant crowd. Lucia was the first Aphrodite to slay an Olympian and she would not be the last.

Guards stormed the field with spears, obeying their master's last request. The Spell Units no longer fearing the power of the Olympian, wreaked havoc on the guards with their spells. We destroyed all of them. It all happened so fast, a swift and covert victory.

Lucia used a minor levitation spell to hoist herself up to the Olympians box. From there she proclaimed, "It is love, true love that allows us to bear hardships. That mends the heart, banishes lonliness and gives meaning to our life. As your new Queen I free you in the name of that love, free you from fear, from unjust punishment, from hate. We will live in love like true Aphrodites! My first act as Queen is to declare war on the Olympians. And this war will be lead by my Andre, a man that they could not kill."

The crowd erupted and I cast a spell to levitate me up to my rightful place beside her. We were hope for our people: a brightstar.

That glory and love was short lived as Chiron burst from the pit under the coliseum waving his arms. The crowd slowly died down as Lucia motioned for them quiet and hear our friend's words. Chiron was in full sweat as he announced, "we just received word that they have breached the wall."

Gasps from everyone, even the newly confident Spell Units.
"Titans are here!" Chiron continued, eyes wide with fear.

There came the sound of the coliseum walls crumbling as a 15 meter, gigantic, humaniod form leaned against the outer wall. The creature's eyes were soulless with bloodlust. It eyed every person in the arena like a fresh snack, that's all we were to them.

Lucia refused to accept defeat, "ATTACK!!!"
