So near, yet so far…
Or somewhere in-between
Ever present as you are
Yet hardly ever seen
You’re present in the makeup
The foundations bear your name
The final structure bears your presence
Yet lacks it all the same
A lucky coalescence
From the ether of our dreams
You are no longer here
Yet the echoes of life scream
Bounce lightly cross the valleys
And peaks in which we played
A reminder never far away
I hope they never fade
And even though you’re gone now
Ever present as you are
I am still right here
