Poem reflecting personal loss
Grief's hot searing blade slashes, slices and plunges into my un-healed heart

Adding to the flames and emptiness pulling me deeper into the dark

Building and burning to the very core

The open gashes bleeding, I can't take much more

Tears cascade my face, drowning me in sorrow to fresh to name

Grief devours my thoughts until the tears no longer came

Eyes to dry to cry another tear

My heart so damaged it convulses in fear

Damage inflicted too deeply to ever be repaired

Pulling my thoughts deeper into despair

Painful truths pull at my very soul

Leaving me weak, fragile, emotionless, cold
