Take A Chance

                                The words in my mind
                                  Make my heart pound.
                                  I open my mouth to tell you,
                                  But there is no sound.

                                  Afraid to let the words flow,
                                  How will they be received?
                                  A smile, a shrug or silence?
                                  Maybe it's not what I believed.

                                  There's no sure way of knowing,
                                  Unless I bare my soul.
                                  The shared talks, laughs and kisses,
                                  Just may have been for show.

                                    But what if...on the other hand,
                                    I dare to take that chance?
                                    I speak the words to you
                                    And it is the start of love and romance.
