I am an arts kind of person. Science, engineering, and math are difficult for me in a way that language and music are not. Listening to songs written and played by a mathematics professor is not something I expected to enjoy. Tom Lehrer, however, is someone I cannot resist.
Lehrer's songs reveal a quick, sharp mind. He wrote songs about such things as Werner Von Braun, New Math, and the classic, Poisoning Pigeons In the Park. He has not performed in years, but his songs are still out there, waiting to be heard. This one is my favorite:
