Time spent in the cabin |
Creak, reak, creak, reak I was lost in the melodic tunes of the rocking of my chair. The sun flashed a bright star, as it ducked behind the mountains. Blow . . . sip . . . blow I couldn't help but to let out a little laugh as I glanced at my husband in the midst of his hot coffee ritual. Letting out a sigh of contentment, lost in the relaxation, I let myself melt into the easiness of the moment. Plop, swoosh, plop The hot tub called to us with its lively, healing bubbles. Clink, clink . . . clink, clink Ice jingled against my glass, as the vortex of liquid swirled in ever widening circles, caused from the mindless stirring with my finger. My thoughts were lost in congealed imaginings If only we were able to stay here forever. Smells wafted throughout the rugged terrain, as fresh baked goods floated upon the air. But life on the mountain still slumbered. (20 lines) Subject or Theme: A Day (or night) at the ... (park, beach, river, wherever) ▼ |
