The steady breeze made the leaves of the trees to rustle, as if they were playing the background score for the drama that was unfolding in their midst.
An overconfident Guru was hunched on the ground, his hands gripping the poison tipped knife firmly and his senses on high alert.
Guru was happy, for once he had met a nemisis who matched his skills. This was the first time he had taken more than a week to huntdown a man eater Lion.
The meat, dead goat, cow, nothing had been able to lure the Lion into the trap.
"You love to eat humans ? I am sitting right in the open come on" Guru spoke to himself as he listened intently for any sound.
Minutes passed by, Guru's legs started to grow numb with stilness. To get the circulation flowing , he shifted his weight from on leg to another and for that one moment he let his senses relax , which seemed to be what the Lion was waiting for.
Before Guru could raise his hands to stab the lunging Lion, it had delat its deadly blow on his neck with it paws. A deafening roar, declaring the end of the war.
