Who goes out of his comfort zone.
Once there was a man named Who
who struck out on his own.
He was out to show that he
could leave his comfort zone.

(His zone was playing bass guitar
  but in a local band.
Who resolved that he would play
  within a bigger band.)

Who tried, The Who, a British band
yet they asked, “Who are you?”
When Who knew that the deal fell through,
he bid The Who adieu.

Who then went to the, Guess Who,
(from Canada--tis true.)
Though they were North American,
they still rejected Who.

Who played his bass right in their face
but it just wouldn’t do.
Despite the fact he was dismissed,
Who joined Guess Who’s road crew.

Then it happened one fine night
when Guess Who play L.A.
One member of the band fell ill,
and Who was asked to play.

They filled a baseball stadium,
the music sounded great.
The Guess Who had a manager
who happened to be late.

The manager was uninformed;
he had a puzzled face.
He found the leader of the band
and asked, “Who is on bass?”

The long-haired leader flashed a grin
and showing no distress,
looked squarely at the manager
and simply answered, “Yes.”
