A poem about faith and when the end comes for those who believe in the truth of God. |
-When The Wind Blows- by Keaton Foster Shush Quiet Silence When the wind blows You’ll know Until then My copacetic friend Say nothing Express even less Just live as is Fight what if Make your mistakes Never take More than you give And then When the wind blows Your monotonous role Will truly be exposed God will shine His microscopic beam Down upon you alone You’ll see such light Between the intersection Of your life and death You will know That it’s for you Because it will touch Your precious face alone You will know it’s for you Because he is your god Your deity of inclusion Both your wickedness And your salvation You everything Devoid of nothing I’ll stay right here In these drawn shadows Here in the darkness A place that I so belong I of course will be amazed But left unchanged As you are taken away Lifted up by the light Taken from your very life When the wind blows You’ll feel it Upon your lips At the back of your neck You’ll know Probably more than most Definitely more than me That it’s time to go Where That’s between you And the God of your choice There are many Dressed as all but a few Blasphemy at times feels good I know what you’re thinking I understand the vertex Of your circular argument But for you I’ll save it And for you I’ll avoid it All saints judge every sinner All saints stand in awe Of such blatant disregard You can’t help yourself No more than I can We are all carbon copies of the last And close facsimiles of the first Ridiculous such a statement Must appear for people like you Normal for people like me Truth lent like a brick Run if you wish Regardless of distance You’ll still be hit With all intended force When the wind blows You time will have come What comes after that Is a secret well kept I don’t know the answer Because I have no wish to But I’m sure that you do Find comfort in such assurances They are all that you have And all that I don’t When the wind blows It will be your time to go… When The Wind Blows Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
