Nadya is a young and talented stage photographer in Medan |
Nadya Vristissya: "Photography is me" While most students spend their time only by studying and focusing on their academic, Nadya Vristissya is an exception. Apart of focusing on getting great achievement in her academic, this 6th semester scholar in FISIP USU, Indonesia, majoring in Communication Studies, often spends her free time together with her camera. This active student doesn't immerse herself in the world of photography half-heartedly. She has been engaged in stage photography or concert photos, one of the hardest areas in photography, since 2012. For Nadya, working in the area of stage photography is a challenge. She needs to be in the middle of a crowd of spectators, and also other photographers, to be able to get a good lighting and angle for each photo captured. But this situation is not taken as a barrier for her hobby in photography. Nadya still continues on documenting great concerts in Medan with her beloved camera. Nadya, who is widely known as "andemedan" on her social media accounts, is often known as a young and great concert photographer. Lots of supports and appreciations have come from her friends, artists, and even from entertainment agencies. The supports and appreciations she received encourage Nadya to give more dedication to the world of photography. Those supports and appreciations are taken by Nadya as a proof of her potential in photography. Nadya's talent is already recognized by some national artists. Dovie Farrel, an artist manager, once gave Nadya an opportunity to document the performance of one of his artists in Urban Jazz Crossover, the biggest Jazz event in Medan. "Photography has been part of my life since I was still in high school. I hope that my love for photography, especially stage photography, will realize my dream in the future. Someday I will have my own photo gallery and become an international concert photographer," said Nadya. |
