The world is at our door. Day 6 (Form:Roundabout)
The Shadow Next Door

"How cosmopolitan," I said
watching the evening news.
"But it's not here,
I have no fear
watching the evening news."

"Crimea and Nigeria.
They're far away from here.
It's sad, I see
but not to me.
They're far away from here."

The shadow of the world's unrest
grows larger every day.
Head in the sand,
what is at hand
grows larger every day.

How can we ignore what goes on
and mutilate what's right?
We can't pretend
that all will mend
and mutilate what's right.
