Why Are You God?

Why standest thou afar off O Lord?
Why hidest thou in the times of trouble? (KJV)

In times of anguish I cry until I'm sore,
Uncertain of what I will find amidst the rubble.

In relations with men no longer of one accord,
Seeking an answer no more I'll tremble.

I faint, forgetting that your Word is a two edged sword,
Discovering this truth means I'll no longer stumble.

In times of dissonance I long for a harmonious chord,
Musical melody from a song, no doubt at all.

Why standest thou afar off O Lord?
With you as saviour my spirit soars
Why hidest thou in the times of trouble?
With you as God I praise forever more.
