A special poem from the heart about chances for all of humanity to start over. |
-When It’s Burning Low- by Keaton Foster The spark That fuel This flame Ignition Rendition Burning the world Wiping it all away Forcing change There is no other way The same Our status quo Will no longer play There has to be less In order for there To again be more Life comes from death But death must come first Sadness is the antithesis Of all that becomes happiness Death and destruction Via our own incineration The flames cleanse the soul Upon the rise it climbs To Heaven high above Beyond all that once was Beyond all that is yet to come When it’s burning low When all was meant as fuel Has been scorched That is when we douse the flames That is when we initiate change Then we can stand back And be truly amazed A new world will flourish In place of the old New beings will rise to life New creatures will surface Life will again find harmony Everything will become just right For many lifetimes to come And many more to go But be assured that one day After much kindling has built up After much fuel for the flame Has again been stockpiled An ignition will be required Incineration will again transpire Change via the end of everything Will again happen It’s a vicious undertaking A tempestuous form of recycling When it’s burning low More fuel will not be required Douse the flames Initiate another chance at our ways What will come from what we’ve done Will of course be better than before But certainly not perfect… When It’s Burning Low Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
