Why pain on pain
Makes the first pain go away
One would imagine
It would only make it worse.

How a brain can scream stop
When the heart whispers go on
Can’t help but wonder
Which one is best

I will never understand
Why I stare at the stars
And they keep me awake
Speaking little whispers
Sneaking in when I’m not looking

I will never understand
Why the earth opens its mouth
Wide enough to consume the sun
When it knows
It will burn the whole way down

And I will never understand...
Why you love me so
And cause this happiness in me
It scares me to imagine
You could take it all away
With one little decision.
