A slightly maniacal poem about observation verse being in a prison of choice. |
-Right Where You Belong- by Keaton Foster Right there Not here So unfair I don’t know And I won’t Really I’m lost Missing everything Owning nothing I have no chance Not one Never was I meant It’s a sad reality Thus my dichotomy The darkness to my day The sadness of my heart A truth that I cannot escape Stop You are and have been Right where you belong You’ll alone Will never move Frozen in that spot Unsure what’s next Just too afraid to find out Personally I have Little to no fear Of course At great detriment to myself You have too much fear Of course At great detriment to yourself We share the same code The same modus operandi Yet that is it Nothing else between us exist I act differently because I can While you act differently because There is no other way for you to act Your fear is your dark master The king of your day and night The ruler of your heart and mind Right where you belong Is where it always keeps you I will of course move along Watching the show From a wide array of perspectives Watching you destroy yourself I’d feel sorry if I was capable I’d lend a hand if I could But I cannot I may be lost Missing everything Owning nothing Having no chance But what I do have What alone is mine Is greater than yours Right where you belong Is where your fear has placed you I am enjoying the show The intricate ways in which you act The microcosmic avoidances you enact Blocking you from the world Right before your eyes You see nothing compared to me I see it all Every ounce of good and bad Every fool and every liar Every decent intention and bad Right where you belong Is where you are While I Am somewhere else… Right Where You Belong Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
