Uneasy lies my soul for an afterlife.
Rotting in darkness, in sheer vice.
Gnashes, moans, whines of this
living apparition reach to deaf ears.
My crumbled skin, parched fingers, outgrown nails,
A despicable appearance of a skeleton
Frightens all, nobody loves me.
This mutilated face I detest.
The musty odour I emanate
Drives everyone away, I cry.
Simmering with rage I gloat
at the beautiful human beings.
My world has no sunshine, no light.
A world that joy is afraid to enter,
A world full of agony,
A world that is cursed,doleful.
Is that a ray of light that see?
Or is it my utter caprice?
No, the light now percolates
the darkest crevices of my heart.
A lovely butterfly flits here and there,
A brilliant incidence of illuminance
Now enlightens my inglorious world,
Her warmth decreases my insalubrity.
My only companion in this lonely world,
I welcome her whole-heartedly.
An aura of hope, a ray of friendliness,
in this world of insurmountable blackness.
