A lifelong sufferer of OCD has left me with my odd sense of being and view. |
-Castle of Kings- by Keaton Foster Castle of kings Foolish within There lives a man A wicked prince He has no queen Not one subject No heirs to the throne He above all else Is very much alone Just what he likes Just what he wished He chased them away He told them all To run and escape He chained every gate From the inside Boarded up every window Down low and up high No one Will ever again enter He’ll be alone until death And for an eternity after that Now He just wanders the halls Singing his sad song The only one he knows The only one he remembers Each line As haunting as the last Each verse Constructed madness His skin is pale His eyes empty and dull His heart wickedly wise His mind ancestrally defined His disease was handed down From one madman to the next Not having kids Anyone to come next Was his way to stop The spread of what he And no one else sees As a plague upon his crown He has done what is right For himself And his kingdom of one Oh the price Castle of kings Foolish within There lives a man A wicked prince He has no queen Not one subject No heirs to the throne He above all else Is very much alone His decision His ultimate choice A way of saving everyone That comes and stands Upon the footstep Of his twisted kingdom Knocks and shouts Let me in!
