I'd rather face what I know and what I understand than what I don't and or could never.

From the sky
To the ground
A veil of blackness
Again falls down
All around me
Shadows move in
An eternal night
Made just right
Alive
Under my skin
Both worlds
Have turned dark
Resulting in
A suffocating absoluteness
No light stings through
No warmth feels true
Nothing can be relied upon
Those few glimpses of escape
Will easily be laid to waste
The coming misery
Will be quite a reality
I will suffer more than most
I will face all of my pain
Headlong I’ll plead
Living within this shame
Doubled over
Due to such excess
I will spell his name
Knowing all along
That I’ll be ignored
Moot is the point
Of every liar in kind
He won’t be fooled
Nor again will I
I’ve made my bed
Set into stone
It is uncomfortable
To everyone but me
Paying for my sins
And living this life
One and the same
Quantifiable happenstance
Turned on its head
The coming misery
Par for the course
Fuel for direction
Challenging everything
Via my awkward perspective
Writing out these ideas
And terrifying thoughts
Forcing those unlike me
To question what is real
And what will become possible
They themselves will become
Uncomfortable within
Upon such speculation
There guarded defenses
Will further be challenged
They will turn inwards
Towards their one true God
He will embrace them as many
As he ignores me as one
Abstaining with regard to me
And my dire case has become
His Modus Operandi
The son of every
Is the father of none
The man who bled
Upon that cross
Rising from the darkness
Into forever true light
In no concern of mine
The coming misery
Is and will always be
My one true God
Of both circumstance
And endeavor…
