Based on me ending a friendship with somebody.
Cost of Lying
By: Audrey Clark

You lied to me but don't know why.
What did I do to make you doubt
me? How would you know the response
that I would have? You should have tried
to know me but you felt that you
could read my mind, determining
how I should act around you and
your friends. Because you felt that I
would walk away, you treat me like
the criminal when all along
it wasn't me, but you. I know
how much you've changed, but I have changed
myself and know that love and trust
were all that it would take to save
our friendship. Now I have to go
and seek out those who have the faith
in me and my existence. Love
is part of who I am, the one
who speaks with subtlety, while lives
within the mysterious
world of solitude. Good Bye
my friend, I have to let you go.
