5 shakespearean sonnets, about winter and love
Okay, so this is my first try at shakespearian sonnets, so go easy on me!

Poem #1: A Moment

A cool breeze on a winter evening
I wait under the dimly lit stone bridge
The air's silent but the wind is singing
The moon has yet to rise over the ridge

Patiently, I stand still as a statue
Watching leaves settle themselves on the ground
It seems like time itself has stopped for you
For the entire city makes no sound

It's the moment in which you hold your breath
Your heart stops beating, anticipating
It's the moment in which nothing is left
But the sound of footsteps hesitating

That is the moment the world breathes again
That is the moment that you leave again

Poem #2: The Return Against Time

I'm coming back my love
Back to our willow tree
Faster than a calling dove
I hear you calling me

I fly over mountains
Climb across rolling hills
Just to see your face again
Facing dangers; it kills

Me. I don't really care
What it takes to see you
Though by the time I get there
Time will have made me a fool

'Cause if only I'd been more brave
There'd be no flowers on your grave

Poem #3
: The Last Night

Just tonight, will you pretend
That we're in a fantasy?
Just tonight, let me believe
That nothing will ever end.

By morning we'll have to go.
Though you'll not see me again,
I hope not before you know
I loved you. Because back then

My words tumbled, they took fright
As soon as you came in sight.
The only thing left to do
Is write a poem for you.

So I give you this one link
To eternity, through my ink.

Poem #4 A Winter Wonderland

Snowflakes, ice and icicles;
Sliding on a slippery slope;
Gone are summer barnicles,
Gone are sights of antelope.

A blanket covering the town;
Nature seems to fall asleep.
But children everywhere slide down,
Hills, mountaints, and valleys deep.

T'is the season for opposites
Where nothing ever makes sense.
Days are dark, but the ground is lit,
Bright fairy lights on the fence.

Mistletoe, ivy and holly,
Winter's full of joy and folly.

Poem #5 The In Between

Lie back and watch the stars
Will the sun come up for me?
I don't think a thing could marr
This night with you at sea.

Stay here a little while;
I don't want to fall asleep.
'Cause nothing could match your smile,
Not even the best dream.

For dawn is the in between,
And I see you gliding
You make me feel like a queen,
And I'm with you, flying:

Far from reality,
Is when it seems so real.
