-Don’t Fear- by Keaton Foster You There Quite queer Don’t fear Have no concern Not a one Fight the urge To be yourself To be everyone else Stand for something Like a drum Beat Make a damn sound Be righteous and loud Be heard Let them know Fear not the show Force them to see Blind a few will plead Continue on Have no sympathy Why would you Not an ounce Offer no mercy Be as crude as required Punish the weak Slaughter the pointless Bloodied and bruised Each wound will heal On the other side of pain Is something else Another perspective A relatable paradise This world The one we all live Is made up Of two types of people Those who are afraid And those who aren’t Decide Make your choice Stick with it Don’t fear Not under any circumstance Stand for your something Whatever it will be Fight a good fight Give this world hell Dispel all precognitions Surprise those who doubt Kick them in the teeth With the reality of your needs Show them that you Won’t take Second place To any one of them Don’t fear Not just words But an eternal idea From which all things Are to in time be born Give your life A life Give your heart A beat Lend your mind A form of release Then And only when Show them all Even if they refuse Make them see Make them hear Be abundantly clear Don’t mince your words Don’t fear Why would you… Don’t Fear Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014 |
